Stamkos Fires Wrist Shot

Stamkos scores a goal on May 3rd

Here is the breakdown

A. Turnover at Blue Line- The Capitals turn the puck over at the Blue line and Stamkos quickly jumps on the loose puck and brings it to the middle of the ice.

B. Lateral Movement- As he is moving across the slot he is making the goalie move with him.  This is a tough play for the goalie as he doesn't get a chance to set his feet.

C. Wrist Shot- Stamkos lets a great wrist shot go as he is moving across the shot. The puck is fired against the grain meaning he shot the puck back to where he came from.  The mechanics for the shot are great as he puts his weight behind the shot and transfers his weight as the puck moves forward.  The result is a game tying goal to give his team momentum and they score again 27 seconds later.
