Slap Shots Al MacInnis

One of the best Slap Shots of all time

Here is the breakdown

A. Weight Transfer- Watch how every shot that is taken has a great weight transfer. This allows for players to use the whole body to generate power, driving with the legs and engaging the hips and core.

B. Wind-Up- Notice how not every wind up is way back over his head.  There are times when the wind-up is shorter to make sure the shot gets thru traffic.

C. Contact- Every shot is hard and good contact is made with the puck.  The contact position is in the middle of his body to allow for some flex from his stick.  This is a great things to watch for young players.
