Here is the breakdown

A. Finds Soft Spot- Coaches always want a 3rd man high to help defensively if need and to prevent odd man rushes.  This 3rd man is also a great option in the offensive attack. Finding this soft spot in between the defenders is a great place to find open ice. Lucis does a great job of this and the other Bruins find him.

B. The Set Up- Watch how he positions his feet to get ready for the puck coming his way. He has his stick ready for this pass and notice how vocal he is that he wants the puck on his stick.

C. Release- With his feet set and stick ready, all that is left to do is to pull the trigger.  The puck is one-timed into the net with a great release.  The result of finding some open ice in the offensive zone away from the cycle is a great goal.
