Toews Goal from game vs St.Louis on Feb 21st
Here is the breakdown
A. Position to Receive Pass- When you watch Toews notice how he moves outside of the penalty killer to make it a easier pass to receive.
B. Stops Pass- Toews does a great job to turn his hands to make sure he stops the pass. From there, without stickhandling he takes a hard step to the net with the puck on his forehand.
C. Looks for Opening- When Toews takes his first hard step to the net, the goalie must respect that he is taking the puck all the way across the crease. When the goalie starts to move of the post he leaves openings, it is up to the player to find these openings, Toews finds the hole in between the goaltenders legs to score his goal.
