Lidstrom Scores on a One-Timer from the point on the PP.
A. Positioning- Watch how he stays in a spot where there is a lane to get the puck back. As his D partner moves in a little he stays off the penalty killer to give himself room to shoot the puck.
B. Shot Mechanics- He may be one of the best of all time at getting shots thru to the net from the point. With his one-timer he makes good contact, has a great weight transfer and creates offensive chance almost every time he shoots the puck.
C. Traffic- A well executed power play puts someone in front of the net to create traffic for the opposing goalie. Detroit does this better then anyone in the league and always has a man in front.
To work on these aspects to your game join the Performance Program this Winter where all these topics are covered.
