Marleau in Tight

Marleau scores in a game vs Dallas on Mar 31st

Here is the breakdown

A. Board Work- Watch the boardwork and puck protection by Heatley as he enters the zone.  He fights off 2 Dallas players and allow his support to come in and help him .

B. Down Low Pass- This pass is hard to defend because many defenders watch the puck and lose track of where their man is.  From a defensive perspective they should always be able to see the puck and see their man.  From an offensive perspective find some open ice and get available for a pass, don't stand still. Marleau heads to the front on of the net when he sees Thorton circle the net.

C- Skill- The pass is a little inside, so Marleau doesn't panic in a place where most players would.  He uses his skate and kicks the puck to his stick and puts the puck in on his backhand.  Being able to receive a pass in your skates in a great skill to have as it will allow you to control any type of pass.
