Bolland uses a Fake Shot to perfection in a game vs Van Apr 19th
Here is the breakdown
A. Turnover From Pressure- The Canucks Defenseman turns the puck over inside the blue line with great pressure from the first man of Chicago. Bolland does a great job reading the play to follow down the wall knowing that is where the puck is coming.
B. Angle to Net- The angle that he comes in allows him to create lateral movement from Luongo. There is space in the slot and Bolland attacks this area with speed and the puck ready to shoot.
C. Fake Shot- This is essentially just the forehand fake with the body turned sideways. The puck is in a shooting position and when the fake happens Luongo has to expect that the puck is coming. With the angle and the speed the puck is brought back to the back foot and held on to creating a holes in Luongo. Bolland takes one more step and fires the puck for a great goal.
