Lucic Turns it Over and the Puck End Up in The Net Apr 14th
Here is the breakdown
A. Turnover- As Lucic heads up ice he tries to take on a player at his own blue line. There is no need to do this at any point in a game, especially when you are down a goal with only a short time left. He had options to both move the puck or chip it by Gomez who was standing still at the blue line.
B. Transition- The Canadiens do a great job to quickly turn the puck over and go on offense. Gionta fires the puck from the outside to get it on net.
C. Thomas Missed It- It looks like this goes right thru Tim Thomas. When the shot is coming from the angle and the Boston players are scrambling to get back into position it open up lanes. The Canadians do a great job of getting the puck to the net quickly. One thing that Thomas has to be aware of is what happens with the rebound. If you notice there is a Canadians player in the slot all alone waiting to jump on any loose puck. With that in mind Thomas misplays the slap shot and the puck is in the net.
