Anisimov Using Forehand Fake in Game

Anisimov scores in a game vs Philly on Mar 6th

Here is the breakdown

A. Speed Onto Loose Puck- Anisimov gets behind the Philadelphia Defense but keeps his speed as he skates onto the loose puck.  This allows him more space on the breakaway.

B. Creates Angle- He does a good job to create an angle for himself to make a move like this at game speed.  By coming in off the post the goalie has so find this angle as well.

C. Forehand Fake- The puck is starting on the forehand side, it moves across his body, stops and comes right back to the forehand.  He has created lateral movement in the goalie and he can't get back fast enough.  A simple move for young players to learn and as you can see very effective at all levels.
