Ryder on the Back Check

Ryder does the little things well

Here is the breakdown

A. Keeps Feet Moving- As he is coming back in the zone he continue to move his feet knowing that Raymond will be slowing down to shoot.

B. Comes to Forehand Side- As he is back checking he has the chance to go to either side.  This is a great play to come to the forehand if you are close as he can get to the puck where it is most dangerous.  If Raymond pulls the puck to the back hand Thomas can anticipate that as he knows the forehand isn't a threat because Ryder is there.

C. Take Puck Away From Danger- As soon as he gets it away from Raymond, he turns the puck away from the net. This makes sure there is no loose puck to be banged into the net.  A great job doing the little things well.
