Marchand scores a great goal to open the scoring in game 6 of the Cup Finals
Here is the breakdown
A. Support- As the puck comes thru the Neutral Zone, watch as Marchand come across to support the puck to make himself a easier option and create a odd man situation.
B. Chip and Go- As Marchand gets behind the D man, Recchi just gets the puck past the D man so that Marchand can skate on to the puck. After he makes the little chip pass, he takes off to the net, forcing Luongo to be aware of him in the slot.
C. Speed and Shoot- Coming down the off wing, Marchand lets the puck go with speed and to a great spot on the net. This short side shelf is a hard save for the goalie, especially when the puck is to the perfect spot. Luongo has to be worried about where he leaves a rebound and in the midst of his though process, he misses the original shot. A great goal in a huge game.
