Game 1 Winner

Torres Scores the Game Winner On June 1st

Here is the breakdown

A. Play for 60 Min- The Canucks have shown before that they don't stop till the last whistle.  This is important as it leads to a game 1 victory in the dying seconds.

B. Over Commit By Boston- Watch as Kesler enters the zone how 3 players are close to the puck on the wall, leaving the middle of the ice open.  Hansen recognizes this and finds open ice.  Chara gets caught almost halfway in his decision process.  In this case he needs to make up his mind so that Thomas isn't guessing what is going to happen.  He stops his feet and doesn't use his long stick to his advantage letting the puck get across the net to a open Torres.

C. Drive Net- Torres does a great job recognizing open ice and jobs to the net.  He keeps his stick on the ice and shows a great angle deflection to the open area.  He angles his stick and lets the velocity of the pass redirect off his stick.  The result is a great goal for the game 1 winner.
