Filpula scores the game winner May 10th

Here is the breakdown

A. Turnover- A poor flip in the Neutral Zone leads to a rush for Detroit coming back the other way.

B. Kick it Outside- The puck is entering into the middle of the ice at the blue line and Filpula knows that Datsyuk is going to be outside to support.  With the puck entering outside it allows for a mid-lane drive and attack options.  After he kicks it out, he continues to the net and finds open ice.

C. Backhand Pass to a Quick Shot- A great look and a great pass to get this puck out in front of Filpula where he can move into it.  He keeps his stick low to the ice and finishes the play with a great shot.  You will notice the shot isn't a rocket, but it is a quick release before the goalie can get his feet set.  A great goal which was the game winner.
