Kovalev BackHand Fake in Shoot-Out

Kovalev scores a great goal in a shoot-out March 27th

Here is the breakdown

A. The Set Up- Watch how Kovalev positions his feet and where he puts the puck.  This keeps the goalie guessing but it keeps options for him as he comes toward the goalie.

B. Pull the Puck- Create lateral movement with the puck to get the goalie moving.  By placing the puck to the backhand the goalie must move his feet, when he does, Kovalev pulls the puck quickly to the forehand to score his goal.

C. Take it Across the Net- To finish the play Kovalev takes the puck far enough to open up the net.  If you shoot to quickly with this move you will hit the goalie. Have patience and let the play develop.
